Group leaders will be informed of plans, changes and all information during regular briefing meetings. While underway, at regular intervals, they will inform their 'groups' of progress details and all other information.
The responsibilities of an group leader include:
- Distribution of navigation information to the group.
- Regular VHF communication with the group.
- In co-operation with the organization and local port officials: to facilitate an orderly berthing or mooring of members of the group.
- Collection of contributions from the group for possible social functions requiring extra fees.
